FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 30, 2019 Bradenton, Florida With the Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL) set to begin its inaugural season for softball in the summer of 2020, Inspiration Academy has named Lake Eric College assistant coach Allyson Hajnosz as its head coach.
Hajnosz, who is her second season as an assistant coach at the Division II school in Ohio, is thrilled for the opportunity to make her debut as a college head coach in Florida this coming summer.
“Having the opportunity to be a part of the FGCL is a true blessing,” said Hajnosz. “I am thrilled to take part in something so groundbreaking for college softball.”
Currently, the FGCL is the only known college softball summer league in the United States and has already established player pipelines from several Division 1 softball programs across the NCAA.
“It’s going to be an awesome opportunity for collegiate girls to continue competing at the highest levels during the summer months.”
For Inspiration Academy, this is another step forward in their journey into high-level softball having recently started their softball academy and naming its director Jim Kull.
The FGCL will allow players who are graduating in the class of 2020 to participate in the league as well as any girls with remaining eligibility.
