Florida Gulf Coast League
The Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL) is a collegiate summer league based southwest Florida.
Every year, we at Inspiration Academy bring in already established college athletes from all over the country to compete and train at a high level. No other collegiate summer program in the country offers what Inspiration Academy does in the summer.
Aside from playing at least 5 games throughout the week, an intense weight room program and individualized training sessions are also a major part of our summer package.
There are 4 organized team lifts in the weight-room throughout the week, which are all tailored to each player to help them achieve the best results that they want. There is also one speed and agility session per week that players participate in as well. In addition to the high-level weight training, we also offer individualized baseball training sessions that players are encouraged to take advantage of. We have a staff of at least 8 coaches in the Summer who all have a wealth of baseball knowledge and experience ranging from both the professional and collegiate level.
Since all games are played in the morning, the afternoon/evening is open for players to use the coaching staff to talk through things and work on what they want to work on. Players are encouraged to come to Inspiration Academy in the Summer with a predetermined plan of what they want to accomplish, and our coaching staff works relentlessly to help players achieve these goals.
- Housing is also included in your cost, and you will be housed in apartment with your teammates. Unlike other summer programs where you have to find your own housing or live with a host family, we provide that for you.
- The apartments are only 5 minutes away from Inspiration Academy, and we also provide transportation to all of our games. Inspiration Academy is also only 15 minutes from Anna Maria Island. Many of our players take weekly and some even take nightly trips over to the beach.
- We encourage our guys to work hard during the week, but also to take advantage of the vacation feeling that can be had if wanted.
This past year, Inspiration Academy fielded 2 teams in the FGCL, and both teams had successful Summers. One team went on to finish in third place. If you are a player that wants to compete at a high level in the Summer while also getting hands on development that you will not get anywhere else, Inspiration Academy is the place for you to be.
