Curriculum

At our private Christian school, we are committed to providing a rigorous academic education that empowers students to develop their God-given gifts and talents. Our foremost priority as educators is to nurture the whole person in Christ. We believe that introducing students to the truth of God’s Word, helping them understand who they are in Christ, and guiding them to discover the purpose for which God created them is far more important than academic achievement. As Proverbs 24:5 reminds us, “Wisdom brings strength, and knowledge gives power.” Therefore, we seek to equip students not only with knowledge but with a deeper understanding of their Creator and His plan for their lives. Our desire is that our students would find joy in life and in learning all that God has prepared for them.
To support this mission, we primarily use Bob Jones University Press (BJU) as our main curriculum publisher. BJU Press provides a Biblical worldview across all subjects, and its materials are designed to engage students through hands-on learning, creative problem-solving, and critical analysis. These rigorous resources align with our goal of educating students from a Christian perspective. Additionally, we offer a variety of resources to meet the diverse needs of our students, including textbooks from Carnegie Learning, McGraw-Hill, and Pearson.
At our school, every student is provided with an individualized academic experience. We offer opportunities for growth through college preparatory courses, career and technical education, and a robust visual and performing arts program. By integrating these resources and approaches, we strive to ensure that each student is equipped to fulfill their God-given potential.

Technology at Inspiration Academy

Inspiration Academy provides technology resources to its students for educational purposes, ensuring access to a wealth of resources from around the world. Through the use of technology, students and staff can extend learning beyond the classroom, opening up incredible opportunities for enhancing and rethinking the learning process. Our goal is to promote educational excellence by facilitating resource sharing, fostering innovation, and improving communication, all with the support and guidance of parents, teachers, and staff.

Opportunities and Risks of Technology Use

With access to computers and global communication, there is a potential for exposure to material that may not align with the educational goals of the Academy or may be harmful. Because the information available on networks is vast and constantly changing, the Academy cannot fully control or predict what content users may encounter. However, the Florida Department of Education recognizes that the educational value of providing limited access to technology for research, interaction, and learning outweighs the possibility that users might come across materials that are not in line with the Academy’s mission.
In accordance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act, the Academy installs filtering software to restrict access to inappropriate content, including material that is obscene, pornographic, harmful to children, or disruptive to the educational process. However, it is important to note that no filtering software is perfect, and there may be instances where it fails to block harmful or inappropriate content. Despite this, users are still expected to adhere to the Academy’s policies and refrain from accessing such material.

Limitations and Responsibilities

Technology, while a powerful tool for learning, is not foolproof and must be used responsibly. Inspiration Academy is not liable for:

  • Any loss or damage to information due to technical difficulties or other issues
  • The accuracy or appropriateness of information retrieved through technology
  • Breaches of confidentiality
  • Defamatory content
  • The consequences resulting from failure to follow Academy policies and procedures

By using the provided technology resources, students and staff are expected to act responsibly and ethically, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for all.
