Visual and Performing Arts

At Inspiration Academy, our Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of artists and cultural influencers. We focus on fostering creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and providing a wide range of artistic experiences that allow students to develop a deep understanding within various artistic media. Our dedicated VPA teaching team is committed to mentoring students in excellence within their specific artistic disciplines, using a blend of technology, innovative techniques, and timeless methods. Through these experiences, students are equipped to make a cultural impact using their God-given talents and artistic gifts.
In addition to enriching classroom experiences, our VPA team also offers semester-based afterschool programs for further artistic development.
Media Design
The Media Design program at Inspiration Academy allows students to bring their ideas to life through a variety of mediums. Students gain hands-on experience with the fundamental aspects of graphic design, videography, photography, website design, and other emerging technologies. This program encourages creative expression while teaching students essential skills to succeed in the dynamic world of digital media.
Art
The Art program at IA provides students with a comprehensive foundation in visual arts, blending creative, intellectual, and spiritual exploration. Through personalized studio instruction and a diverse range of projects, students develop creative freedom and critical thinking skills. Our students are encouraged to challenge their creativity, think outside the box, take risks, and produce artwork that exceeds their expectations. In this program, students explore their artistic gifts in a way that is both spiritually and intellectually enriching, embracing the full potential of their talents.
Vocal Coaching & Ensemble
In the Vocal Coaching & Ensemble program, students improve their vocal performance by focusing on proper placement, timing, diction, and stage presence. Each student will work on at least one individual piece, with the goal of performing at the end of the semester. Whether singing solo or as part of an ensemble, students are encouraged to refine their vocal technique and develop a strong sense of performance.
Worship
The Worship program provides students with the opportunity to perform and minister to the student body for the glory of the Lord. Through vocal and instrumental performances, students help create an atmosphere of unity and worship within the school community. In addition to preparing for school-wide chapels, students collaborate with the pastoral staff to contribute additional components to chapel services. This program also delves into the philosophy of worship arts in music and contemporary worship practices. Entrance into the Worship program is by audition and invitation only. The team also includes a Chapel Tech Program, where students contribute to the technical aspects of chapel services.
Theatre
The Theatre program at Inspiration Academy is designed to instill both technical and spiritual appreciation for the art of theatre. Students explore performance, spiritual connection, and technical aspects of theater through improvisation, small dramas, monologues (both humorous and serious), human videos, and creative dramatics. The program encourages creative writing skills and script production, while also developing critical listening, thinking, and stage presence. Theatre serves as a powerful means of expressing worship and entertainment, while fostering collaboration, spiritual awareness, and ensemble work.
At Inspiration Academy, we believe in developing the whole student—creatively, intellectually, and spiritually—so they can use their talents to glorify God and make a positive impact on the world around them. Through our Visual and Performing Arts Program, students not only grow as artists but also as leaders, communicators, and cultural influencers for Christ.
